CHD TRAINING PROGRAMS

Certification in Individual Psychoanalysis
The Center for Human Development offers a curriculum leading to certification in individual psychoanalysis.

Group Programs
CHD offers two distinct programs in Group Studies, as follows:

A. Certification in Modern Psychoanalytic Group Studies
Through this program, students understand and learn to work creatively with the motivating forces in psychotherapy groups, the family, schools, corporations, religious groups, the performing arts, sports, health care, government, and other organizational settings. Students who graduate from this program may be able to fulfill requirements for the Certified Group Psychotherapists (CGP) credential of the National Registry of Certified Group Psychotherapists.

 

B. Certification in Specialized Group Leadership
This program is geared to persons who wish to learn skills in group leadership which can be applied to any setting. Students graduate with a certificate in Specialized Group Leadership.

Marriage and Family Therapy Programs
This program is designed to meet AAMFT requirements for Marriage and Family Therapy certification.

CASAC Program
As an AOSAS-approved provider, CHD offers specific courses that can be used towards the Drug and Alcohol Counseling credential. In addition, all CHD courses meet the OASAS requirement for re-credentialing.

 
Additional Details

Credits toward the Doctorate
CHD is proud to offer its students the benefits of its close affiliation with the Hattie R. Rosenthal College of Psychoanalysis at Heed University. Credits earned at CHD may be used toward the doctoral degrees in psychoanalysis offered by Heed University.

CHD Journal
In our Journal, Current Trends in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy, we publish articles from all psychotherapeutic disciplines., We present the unique ways these respective disciplines have developed to help patients/clients, so that we may learn more about the therapeutic process. We also value contributions to our field's base of knowledge from medical, spiritual, community, financial, and government leaders, as well as educators.

 

Continuing Education Credits
CHD is an approved continuing education provider. Contact the Administrative Office for information about obtaining continuing education credits.

Scientific Events, Conferences, and June Workshops
CHD also presents scientific events, conferences, and June workshops featuring topics of interest to the professional and lay communities.
