| W122 THE LEGACY OF DIVORCE Divorce is an event that affects all members of a family—children, parents and grandparents. We will discuss how to respond to the changes that occur, how to minimize the negative consequences, and explore new ways to turn a painful process into a growth-producing one. People having experienced divorce will gain new insights into their situations, and clinicians will find it extremely helpful in working with families of divorce. | W123 SQUASHED: THE SANDWICH GENERATION This workshop will look at the pressures and responsibilities brought to bear upon persons juggling their own lives, older parents and children. We will explore ways of coping with the realities as well as intense feelings aroused by this tug of war on time and emotions. Instructor: Susan R. This workshop will discuss some of the developmental features of this stage of development, problems arising during these years, and practical strategies to cope—and maybe actually enjoy living—with the teenagers in your family. School, social, and home life issues will be covered.
